From Bulbapedia, on performing the ZZAZZ glitch in Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow, "most sprites of Pokémon in the party are replaced with the back-sprite of Bulbasaur and all moves previously known by the Pokémon are replaced by Explosion."

So my headcanon is that Bulbasaur just packs its bulb with TNT, adds a fuse, and lights it up hell yeah
